Retirement Benefits (Parliamentary Superannuation) Amendment Regulations 2009

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Retirement Benefits Act 1993 .2 October 2009

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Retirement Benefits (Parliamentary Superannuation) Amendment Regulations 2009 . 2CommencementThese regulations are taken to have taken effect on 1 January 2009. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Retirement Benefits (Parliamentary Superannuation) Regulations 2002 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation) Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "college or university;" from paragraph (d) of the definition of child and substituting "college, university or other educational or training institution;". 5Regulation 27 amended (Commencement and cessation of children's pensions) Regulation 27(2) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting "college or university," and substituting "college, university or other educational or training institution,"; (b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "college or university –" and substituting "college, university or other educational or training institution –".
