Retail Tenancies (Exemption) Regulations

1. Title

These Regulations may be cited as the Retail

Tenancies (Exemption) Regulations 1991.

2. Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to prescribe classes or kinds of premises that are exempt from the operation of the Retail Tenancies Act 1986.

3. Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 5 and

25 of the Retail Tenancies Act 1986.

4. Exemption

The following premises are completely and
unconditionally exempt from the operation of the
Retail Tenancies Act 1986:
Any premises constructed and used for the
purposes of a shop or restaurant situated within
the boundaries of the Royal Botanic Gardens,
Melbourne, shown by hatching on the plan in the

Schedule.

NOTES

1.  General Information

The Retail Tenancies (Exemption) Regulations 1991, S.R. No. 56/1991 were made on 26 March 1991 by the Governor in Council under sections 5 and 25 of the Retail Tenancies Act 1986, No. 106/1986 and came into operation on 26 March 1991.

The Retail Tenancies (Exemption) Regulations 1991 will sunset 10 years
after the day of making on 26 March 2001 (see section 5 of the Subordinate
Legislation Act 1994).
