Residential Tenancies (COVID-19 Emergency Measures) Amendment Regulations 2020

The Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation, makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to extend the operation of the Residential Tenancies (COVID-19 Emergency Measures) Regulations 2020, which would otherwise expire on 26 September 2020.

2Authorising provisions

These Regulations are made under sections 603(1) and 609(1) of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.

3COVID-19 measures to be extended

In regulation 62 of the Residential Tenancies (COVID-19 Emergency Measures) Regulations 2020[1], for "26 September 2020" substitute "the day that Part 16 of the Act is repealed".
