Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Amendment Regulations 2022
The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective
The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2020 in relation to the period of registration of registered caravan parks affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
2Authorising provisions
These Regulations are made under sections 515 and 516 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997.
3Principal Regulations
In these Regulations, the Residential Tenancies (Caravan Parks and Movable Dwellings Registration and Standards) Regulations 2020[1] are called the Principal Regulations.
4New regulation 50A inserted
After regulation 50 of the Principal Regulations insert—
"50A Extended period of registration for caravan parks affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
(1)This regulation applies to a caravan park that—
(a)was at all times registered from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021; and
(b)is registered on 25 October 2022.
(2)Despite regulation 13(3), the registration of a caravan park referred to in subregulation (1) that is in effect on 25 October 2022 is extended to and expires on 31 December of the calendar year that is 4 years after the calendar year in which the registration took effect.".
