Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to postpone, until 29 April 2015, the inclusion of a term in the standard form residential tenancy agreement that requires the landlord to ensure any swimming pool on the residential premises is registered under the Swimming Pools Act 1992 and to provide the tenant with copies of certain certificates under that Act at the time that the residential tenancy agreement is entered into.

This Regulation is made under the Residential Tenancies Act 2010, including sections 15 and 224 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Residential Tenancies Amendment Regulation 2014.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on 29 April 2014 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Residential Tenancies Regulation 2010

Schedule 1 Standard Form Agreement

Insert at the end of clause 40A (as inserted Schedule 2.3 to the Swimming Pools
Amendment Act 2012):

This clause does not apply to a residential tenancy agreement entered into before 29 April 2015.
