I, the Governor, acting under the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2011 section 2(b) and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, fix 1 July 2013 as the day on which sections 3, 4, 5 (except to the extent that it inserts the definition of lessor), 6 to 41, 42(3), 43, 44, 45(2), 46 to 56, 59, 61 to 68, 70 to 87, 89 (except to the extent that it amends section 71) and Parts 4 and 5 of that Act come into operation.

Note: Under the Residential Tenancies Amendment Regulations 2013 regulation 2(b), the provisions of those regulations, other than regulations 1 and 2, come into operation on the day on which the Residential Tenancies Amendment Act 2011 section 22 comes into operation.
