AN ACT relating to certain Reserves and

other Lands.

[Assented to 6th December, 1957.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.    This Act may be cited as the Reserves Act, Short title

(1) Reserve No. 22365 at Preston Point, East Fremantle, classified as of Class "A", set apart for the purposes of Park and Recreation and vested in the Mayor and Councillors of East Fremantle is hereby amended by the excision of all that portion being

the portion bounded by lines starting at a point on the eastern side of Wauhop Road situate seven chains ninety-seven and nine-tenths links north of the south-western corner of the reserve and extending eighty-nine degrees fifty-six minutes three chains twenty-nine and eight- tenths links; thence two hundred and fourteen degrees fifty-seven minutes to the high water mark of the Swan River; thence generally north- westerly along that mark to its intersection with the eastern side of Wauhop Road; thence south- erly along that side to the starting point.

(2) The land comprised in the portion so excised is hereby revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate with the intention that it shall be included in Swan Location 6320 and sold under the provisions of the Land Act, 1933, to the Commonwealth of Australia for defence purposes as a Site for Small Craft Base for the Department of the Army.

with the intention that Swan Location 5906 be disposed of to the Perth Diocesan Trustees for a Church of England Site at a price of three thousand pounds, and that Swan Location 6345 shall be reserved for the purpose of Spastic Children's Wel- fare and vested in an appropriate authority for that purpose.

No. 20378	9. Reserve No. 20378, comprising Avon Location 23032 at Narembeen, classified as of Class "A", set apart for the purpose of Park and Children's Play- ground and vested in the Narembeen Road Board, is hereby amended by excising the portion now surveyed as Avon Location 27858, containing one acre one rood twelve perches, with the intention that the area so excised shall be made available for sale under the provisions of the Land Act, 1933, to one Arthur William Latham in accordance with an agreement made by him with the Narembeen Road Board under the provisions of which agreement the Board shall acquire for recreation purposes portion of Avon Location 18164 owned by the said Arthur William Latham and being Lot 3 on Land Titles Office Diagram No. 22529.

(1) (a) Perth Town Lot B.18 containing an area of one rood five and eight-tenths perches formerly comprising portion of Reserve No. 7123 classified as of Class "A", but now the subject of Certificate of Title Volume 1010, Folio 408 registered in the name of "State Savings Bank of Western Australia" is hereby

(i)    revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate;

(ii)    removed from the operation of the Transfer of Land Act, 1893; and

(iii)    re-included in Reserve No. 7123.

(b) Reserve No. 7123 classified as of Class "A" is

hereby set apart for Central Government Buildings.

(2) Reserve No. 7123 is hereby further amended by the excision of that portion now surveyed as Perth Lot 792 containing about one rood twenty-four perches (subject to examination of survey) which lot is hereby set apart and dedicated as Reserve No. 24876 for the Use and Requirements of The Commis- sioners of the Rural and Industries Bank of Western Australia in perpetuity and the Reserve No. 24876 is hereby classified as of Class "A".

(3) The Governor shall issue and is hereby authorised to issue to the Commissioners a Crown Grant of Perth Lot 792 in trust for the use and requirements aforesaid and subsection (2) of section twenty-nine of the Land Act, 1933, shall not apply to the land comprised in Perth Lot 792.

Class "A" and set apart for the purposes of Park Land and Recreation and vested in the City of Perth is hereby reclassified as of Class "C" in order that it may be cancelled or amended under the provisions of the Land Act, 1933, as and when the Governor may approve and is hereby authorised to approve, with the intention that it may be used if required in connection with the approaches to the bridge now being constructed over the Swan River at the Narrows.

12.    Reserve No. 23039 comprising Swan Location Dr.e2r3029

5200 at South Perth classified as of Class "A" and South Perth_

set apart for the purpose of recreation and vested in

the Municipality of South Perth is hereby reclassi-

fied as of Class "C" in order that it may be cancelled

or amended under the provisions of the Land Act,

1933, as and when the Governor may approve and is

hereby authorised to approve, with the intention

that it may be used in connection with the provision

of a Main Road along the foreshore of the Swan

River between Canning Bridge and Mill Point.

13.    (1) Reserve No. 17331 at Crawley classified regen

as of Class "A" and set apart for the purpose of the 0

Site for the Main Buildings of the University of Western Australia and leased to the University of Western Australia for a term of nine hundred and ninety-nine years by Crown Lease No. 1455/1921 (Section No. 652/42) is hereby amended by the excision of all that portion containing three acres three roods and twenty-three perches being the portion included by survey in Swan Location 5518 as shown on Lands and Surveys Original Plan No. 6430.

(2) The land comprised in the portion so excised is hereby revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate with the intention that Swan Location 5518 shall be reserved by the Governor for the purpose of a Site for the Teachers' Training College.

No. 17375	14. (1) Reserve No. 17375 at Crawley classified as of Class "A", set apart for the purpose of Recreation and vested in the National Parks Board of Western Australia is hereby amended by the excision of all those portions being

(a)	the two portions containing firstly five acres one rood seventeen perches and secondly twenty-two and four-tenths perches which have been surveyed as parts of Swan Loca- tion 5518 as shown on Lands and Surveys Original Plan No. 6430;
(b)	the portion containing two acres two roods five perches which has been surveyed as the proposed deviation of Hackett Drive as shown coloured dark brown on Lands and Surveys Original Plan No. 6430;
(c)	brown on Lands and Surveys Original Planthe two portions shown coloured dark

No. 7147 and containing firstly, one rood four and six-tenths perches and secondly, thirty-three and four-tenths perches.

(2) The land comprised in the portions so excised are hereby revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate with the intention that it be utilised in the following manner

(a)	the portions described in paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of this section shall be reserved by the Governor for the purpose of a Site for the Teachers' Training College;
(b)	the portion described in paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of this section shall be dedi- cated as a deviation of Hackett Drive when the portion of the existing road through

Swan Location 5518 has been closed by proclamation as provided in the Road Closure Act, 1957;

(c) the portions described in paragraph (c) of

subsection (1) of this section shall be dedi-

cated as road widenings of Hackett Drive, a public road within the Subiaco Municipal District.
