AN ACT relating to certain Reserves and other

Lands.

[Assented to 30th December, 1954.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.

This Act may be cited as the Reserves Act,

The classification of Reserve No. 18296, at Bruce Rock, as of Class "A" is hereby cancelled, with the intention that the reserve be amended in such manner as the Governor may approve to provide for the widening of Johnson Street and any neces- sary road access to the adjoining railway reserve.

3. Reserve No. 12074 at Carnarvon classified as rigs

of Class "A," and set apart for the purpose of an Carnarvon.

Educational Endowment is hereby cancelled and the land contained therein is hereby revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate with the intention that portion shall be used for road widening and the balance shall be reserved for the following purposes:

(a)

Carnarvon Lot 384, of 7 acres, for the pur- pose of Schoolsite (Carnarvon High School).

(b)

Carnarvon Lot 568, of 2 acres 3 roods 10 perches, for water supply purposes.

4. The Trustees for the time being of the Fre- Driev6e6 at

6. (1) Reserve No. 11385, at Geraldton, classified as of Class "A" and set apart for the purpose of Educational Endowment and held in fee simple in trust for the purpose by the Trustees of the Public Education Endowment in Certificate of Title, Volume 759, Folio 37, is hereby reduced by the excision of Geraldton Lots 620 to 663 inclusive.

(2) The land comprised in the Geraldton Lots 620 to 663 inclusive is hereby revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate and is removed from the operation of the Transfer of Land Act, 1893-1950, with the intention that it shall be reserved for the Geraldton High School site.

7. Reserve No. 18325 at Inglewood, classified as of Class "A" and set apart for the purpose of Recreation and vested in the Perth Road Board in trust for the purpose is hereby reduced by the excision of all those portions being

an area of approximately 13 acres and 29 perches being the portion shown coloured yellow on Lands and Surveys Miscellaneous Plan No. 135, with the intention that the portion shall be reserved for the purpose of a site for a Home for Mentally Retarded Children;

(b)

an area of approximately 2 roods 34 and 1/10th perches being the portion shown coloured blue on the Plan No. 135, with the intention that the portion shall be used for the widening of Dundas Road;

(c)

an area of approximately 8 acres 1 rood 17 perches being the portion shown coloured green on the Plan No. 135, with the inten- tion that the portion shall be used for an extension of Hamer Parade and for a reserve for Parking Area and Gardens on the south- eastern side of the proposed extension.

"National Park," is hereby reduced by the excision of an area of approximately 16 acres as shown bordered green on Public Works Department Plan No. 30877, with the intention that the land so excised shall be reserved for the purpose of the Mount Barker Water Supply (Bolganup Creek Lower Damsite).

(1) Reserve No. 22568 at Rockingham, classi- fled as of Class "A" and set apart for the purpose Rockingham.

of Park and Recreation and vested in the Rocking- ham Road Board in trust for the purpose, is hereby reduced by the excision of an area of approximately one acre from the north-eastern end of the reserve, having a frontage to Governor Road and extending from the north-east corner of the reserve to the low water mark of Mangles Bay and a frontage of 3 chains to Rockingham Road.

(2) The land so excised from the reserve is hereby revested in Her Majesty as of her former estate with the intention that, after survey and truncation of the north-eastern corner, it shall be reserved for Harbour Trust Purposes (Site for Navigation Lights).

10.   Reserve No. 12077 at Wagin classified as of W12777, at

Class "A" and set apart for the purpose of an wag'11. excision of Wagin Lots 520 to 528 inclusive, 534 and 535, with the intention that the lots so excised shall be reserved for Railway purposes (Housing).

11.    Reserve No. 14678, comprising Wickepin Lots No 7:6,78

150 to 153 inclusive and 176, classified as of Class "A" and set apart for the purpose of Park Lands and Recreation, is hereby cancelled with the inten- tion that the land comprised therein shall be included in the adjoining Reserve No. 23911 which is set apart for the purpose of Recreation.
