AN ACT relating to certain Reserves and other Lands.

[Assented to 30th December, 1940. I

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty.by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short

1. This Act may be cited as the Reserves Act, 1940.

York lot 450. 2. All that piece of land, being York lot 450, granted

to Joseph Pyke, Sydney Pyke, and Edmond Ashworth, and their successors in office in trust for the Society or Order calling themselves Good Templars, and for the purpose of being occupied by a Temperance Hall and the necessary buildings allocated, as registered in certificate of title volume 2, folio 59, is hereby revested in His Majesty the King as of his former estate to the intent that it shall be added to the adjoining reserve for park lands, reserve "A" 1814.

3. All that reserve "A" 18957 for park lands and

recreation vested hi the Bayswater Road Board under section forty-two of the Land Act, 1898, is hereby

cancelled and the said Bayswater Road Board is hereby empowered to sell and dispose of and transfer as for an estate in fee simple the land comprised in the said re- serve freed and discharged from all trusts: Provided that the proceeds of the sale of the said land shall be used and applied in and for the development of the land comprised in reserve "A" 18958.

4.    All that portion of reserve "A" 5690 at Subiaco VPr5790_

set apart for police purposes, more particularly des- cribed in the Schedule to this Act, is hereby excised from the said reserve to the intent that it shall be set apart as a reserve for a kindergarten.

5.    All that reserve 20255, being Sussex location 3755, Mgr5vo

the subject of a nine hundred and ninety-nine years leaseun granted to the Cowaramup and District Progress As- sociation and Agricultural Society Incorporated for the purpose of a hall site is hereby revested in Flis Majesty the King as of his former estate and may be dealt with under the provisions of the Land Act, 1933-1939, as the Governor may think fit.

6.    The purposes of reserve "A" 5132 at Jayes. on ?Vim,.

the Blackwood river, are hereby changed from "recrea- tion and agricultural hall site" to "road board pur- poses."

7.    All that piece of land, being Geraldton town lot tGoorahlitoT sac

59, granted to the Council and Burgesses of the town of Geraldton as a site for a town hall, is hereby revested in His Majesty the King as of his former estate and may be dealt with under the provisions of the Land A et. 1=- 1939, as the Governor may think fit.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of reserve "A" 5690 bounded by lines starting from the north-western corner of Perth lot 496 and extending south- erly along the western boundary of the said lot to the north-eastern corner of lot 636; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said lot 636 for a distance of one chain; thence northerly to a point on the southern alignment of Bagot road, situate one chain westerly from the starting point, and thence easterly to the said starting point.
