These Regulations are the Research Involving Human Embryos Amendment Regulations 2005 (No. 1).

Commencement
These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

2.1AProper consent — prescribed guidelines
For paragraph (b) of the definition of proper consent in section 8 of the Act, the Ethical Guidelines on the Use of Assisted Reproductive Technology in Clinical Practice and Research, issued by the NHMRC in 2004 and as in force at the commencement of this regulation, are prescribed.
