Repeal of Regulations Postponement and Rescission Act 2004

An Act to postpone the repeal of certain regulations and to rescind and revoke certain enactments

[Royal Assent 17 December 2004]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Repeal of Regulations Postponement and Rescission Act 2004 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Postponement of repeals (1)  The repeal of the regulations specified in Schedule 1 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2005 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2006. (2)  Subsection (1) does not apply so as to prevent the repeal of any regulations specified in Schedule 1 at any time before 1 January 2006. 4Administration of ActUntil provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990  – (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Environment and Planning; and (b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment. 5ExpiryThis Act expires on 2 January 2006. 6Statutory Rules rescindedThe Statutory Rules specified in Schedule 2 are rescinded. 7Statutory Rules revokedThe Statutory Rules specified in Schedule 3 are revoked.
