Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act (No. 2) 2012

An Act to postpone the repeal of certain regulations

[Royal Assent 30 May 2012]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act (No. 2) 2012 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Postponement of repeals (1)  The staged repeals of the regulations specified in Column 1 of Schedule 1 that, but for this section, were to have been effected on the respective dates specified in Column 2 of that Schedule are postponed until 1 July 2013. (2)  Subsection (1) does not prevent any of the regulations specified in Schedule 1 from being rescinded before 1 July 2013. (3)  In this section – staged repeals means the repeals that were to be effected by section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 but were postponed under the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2009 and the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2010 . 4Administration of ActUntil provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990  – (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Sustainable Transport; and (b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources. 5ExpiryThis Act expires on 2 July 2013.
