Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2010

An Act to postpone the repeal of certain regulations

[Royal Assent 28 October 2010]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2010 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Postponement of repeals (1)  The staged repeals of the regulations specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 that, but for this section, were to have been effected on the respective dates specified in column 2 of that Schedule are postponed until 1 July 2012. (2)  Subsection (1) does not prevent any of the regulations specified in Schedule 1 from being rescinded before 1 July 2012. (3)  In this section – staged repeals means repeals that were to be effected by section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 but were postponed under the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2009 . 4Administration of ActUntil provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990  – (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Sustainable Transport and Alternative Energy; and (b) the department responsible to that Minister in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources. 5ExpiryThis Act expires on 2 July 2012.
