Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2001

An Act to postpone the repeal of certain regulations

[Royal Assent 17 December 2001]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Repeal of Regulations Postponement Act 2001 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day on which this Act receives the Royal Assent. 3Postponement of repeals (1)  The repeal of the regulations specified in Schedule 1 that, but for this section, was to have been effected on 1 January 2002 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992 is postponed until 1 January 2003. (2)  Subsection (1) does not apply so as to prevent the repeal of any regulations specified in Schedule 1 at any time before 1 January 2003. 4Administration of ActUntil provision is made in relation to this Act by order under section 4 of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990  – (a) the administration of this Act is assigned to the Minister for Infrastructure, Energy and Resources; and (b) the department responsible to the Minister for Infrastructure, Energy and Resources in relation to the administration of this Act is the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources. Schedule 1Regulations of which repeal is postponed
