Repatriation (Far East Strategic Reserve) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Repatriation (Far East Strategic Reserve) Act 1956.

Medical treatment of widows, &c.

1. Regulation 38 of the Repatriation (Far East Strategic Reserve) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “sub-section (4) of section 39” and substituting “sub-section 39 (4) or 46a (1)”.

Interpretation—Division 4 of Part III

2. Regulation 46 of the Repatriation (Far East Strategic Reserve) Regulations is amended by adding at the end thereof after paragraph (d)—

“, and includes a child entitled to receive a pension under sub-section 46a (1) of the Repatriation Act as applied by the Act”.

Funeral expenses of dependants of deceased members

3. Regulation 50 of the Repatriation (Far East Strategic Reserve) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from paragraph (e) “and”; and

(b) by adding at the end thereof the following word and paragraph:

“; and (g) a child to whom a pension is payable under sub-section 46a (1) of the Repatriation Act as applied by the Act.”.
