In the matter of *Rennie & Rennie*, Bennett J considered an application by the wife for leave to amend her response to include an order discharging an injunction previously made on 3 June 2014. The husband had filed an Initiating Application on 24 June 2014.

The primary legal issue before the court was whether to grant the wife leave to amend her response and, consequently, to discharge the existing injunction. The court was also required to determine the husband's Initiating Application and the appropriate orders regarding costs.

Bennett J granted the wife leave to amend her response, thereby discharging the injunction. The husband's Initiating Application was dismissed. The court ordered the husband to pay the wife's costs of and incidental to the proceedings from 4 June 2014 to the date of the order, with a process outlined for assessment by a Registrar in default of agreement. The effect of the order was that approximately $40,000 held by Kennedy Partners was to be released to the wife as partial satisfaction of a larger sum owed to her.
