Remuneration Tribunals (Miscellaneous

Provisions) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Remuneration Tribunals Act 1973.

Prescribed offices and appointments for the purposes of paragraph 3 (4) (v) of the Act

Regulation 5 of the Remuneration Tribunals (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations is amended by adding at the end the following paragraphs:

“(d) the appointment of a person as a Commissioner to inquire into deaths in Queensland and, when otherwise requested, elsewhere in Australia, since 1 January 1980 of Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders whilst in police custody, in prison or in any other place of detention and into any subsequent action taken in respect of each of those deaths, being the appointment made by letters patent issued on 6 May 1988;

(e) in respect of the period commencing on 7 December 1986 and ending at the expiration of 30 April 1987—the appointment, by instrument dated 4 December 1986, and the further appointment, by instrument dated 3 March 1987, of a person under section 5 of the Australian Capital Territory Gaming and Liquor Authority Act 1981 to be a part-time member of the Australian Capital Territory Gaming and Liquor Authority.”.
