Remuneration Tribunals (Members Fees and

Allowances) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Remuneration Tribunals Act 1973.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 10 July 1986.

Principal Regulations

2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Remuneration Tribunals (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations.

Fees of members

3. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “$14,273” and substituting “$14,601”.

Repeal of regulation 4a

4. Regulation 4a of the Principal Regulations is repealed.

Allowances

5. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “section” and substituting “sections 12 and”.

6. After regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Fee of person appointed as Academic Salaries Tribunal

“6. There is payable to the person appointed under sub-section 12b (2) of the Act as the person constituting the Academic Salaries Tribunal a fee of $331 for each day or part of a day on which the person performs any of the functions of the Tribunal”.

Repeal of regulations 8 and 9

7. Regulations 8 and 9 of the Principal Regulations are repealed.
