Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE: These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   Regulation 4 (Fees of members)

2.1   Omit the regulation, substitute:

Fees of President and members

“4.

For the purposes of section 12 of the Act, the following fees are prescribed:

  • (a)

    in the case of the President—$44,824 per year;

  • (b)

    in the case of another member—$20,941 per year.”.

3.   Regulation 4A (Fee of Chairman)

3.1   Omit the regulation.
