    1Name of Regulations [see Note 1]

 These Regulations are the Remuneration Tribunal (Members’ Fees and Allowances) Regulations 1974.

2Commencement

 These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 24 January 1974.

3Interpretation

 In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

member means a member of the Remuneration Tribunal.

the Act means the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973.

4Fees of President and members

For the purposes of section 12 of the Act, the following fees are prescribed:

• (a)

  in the case of the President — $60 700 per year;

• (b)

  in the case of another member — $29 300 per year.

5Allowances

For the purposes of section 12 of the Act, the following allowances are prescribed, namely the allowances payable to an officer of the Australian Public Service at the level of Departmental Secretary.
