Determination 2010/20:

Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office

(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.

(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.

PART 1 – FULL-TIME OFFICES

1.1       In this part, Determination Number 10 of 2010 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

1.2Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting “2.6.2” in Column 5 of the entry for “Freedom of Information Commissioner”

1.3         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting clause 2.6.2 after         Clause 2.6.1 as follows: Freedom of Information Commissioner:        Notwithstanding the above provisions, the salary for superannuation purposes of

Dr James Popple will be $227,896 from 1 November 2010, while he occupies the        office of Freedom of Information Commissioner”.

PART 2 – PART-TIME OFFICES

2.1In this part, Determination Number 11 of 2010 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

2.2Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing     the current entry for “Anti-Doping Research Panel” with “Anti-Doping Research Program   Panel”.

2.3Clause A3 of ‘Additional Clauses to Table A1A’ of the Principal Determination is amended by adding the following words at the end of the current clause.

“In lieu of the preceding amounts, the Hon Michael Knight will receive $4,392 per annum for service on Australian Hearing Services Audit and Risk Committee.”
