Determination 2010/18:

Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office

(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.

(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.

PART 1 – FULL-TIME OFFICES

1.1       In this part, Determination Number 10 of 2010 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

1.2Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Commonwealth Ombudsman”

1.4       Clauses 1.2 to 1.3 have effect on and from 1 November 2010. 

1.5Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for “Privacy Commissioner” with the following entry and placing it after the entry for “Freedom of Information Commissioner”

1.6       Clause 1.5 has effect on and from 2 November 2010.

1.7       Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the wording in clause     “2.2.14” and replacing it with the following words: “Privacy Commissioner: Mr       Timothy Pilgrim will receive $234,970 base salary, $339,870 Total Remuneration with Tier 1 Travel while he occupies the office in Column 1 until

1 November 2010 inclusive.”
