Determination 2009/22:

Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office and Judicial and Related Offices

(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.

(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.

PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES

1.1       In this part, Determination Number 14 of 2009 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

1.2Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for the “Professional Committees in Health and Ageing and FaHCSIA Portfolios (listed in Schedule B)” and replacing it with the following entry:

1.3     Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the heading“Schedule B –Professional Committees – Health and Ageing, and Families,     Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Portfolios” and replacing it

with the following heading “Schedule B – Professional Committees – Health            and Ageing Portfolio”.

1.4Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting in Clause B1 the wording and Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Portfolios and replacing it with “Portfolio”.

1.5The introduction to the Principal Determination is amended in page 1 under “This Determination comprises” the heading Schedule B by deleting the wording and Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs Portfolios and replacing it with “Portfolio”.

PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES

2.1       In this part, Determination Number 18 of 2009 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

2.2Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for Associate Director of Public Prosecutions.

2.3       Clause 2.2 has effect on and from 1 November 2009.

2.4         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting in clause 2.2.10 after the word CEO, the following words “Australian Organ and Tissue”.

2.5       Parts 4 and Part 5 of the Principal Determination are amended by deleting clauses     4.1.1 and 5.1.1.

PART 3 – JUDICIAL AND RELATED OFFICES

3.1         In this part, Determination Number 17 of 2009 (as amended) is referred to as the      Principal Determination.

3.2       Part 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause 3.4 after Clause 3.3 as follows: “3.4 President, Fair Work Australia: the President has the same travel entitlements when travelling within Australia as the Chief Justice of the Federal Court.”

3.3       Clause 3.2 has effect on and from 1 October 2009.
