Determination 2009/03:

Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office

(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.

(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.

PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES

1.1       In this part, Determination Number 7 of 2008 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

1.2Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Infrastructure Australia”:

1.3         Clause 1.2 has effect on and from 13 February 2009.

1.4Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry for “Seafarer Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Authority” with the following entry:

1.5Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current wording for Clause A29 under “Additional Clauses To Table A1A” with the following: “A29. Seafarers Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Authority: A member who is appointed as a Deputy Chair will receive $726 per day.”

1.6Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entries for the following bodies: “Broadcasting Council” and “National Standards Commission”.

1.7Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current entry “Defence Reserves Support Council” with the following entries:

1.10      Clause 1.9 has effect on and from 1 March 2009.

PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES

2.1       In this part, Determination Number 8 of 2008 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.

2.2Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the entry for “Registrar of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporations” with the following entry:
