Remuneration and Allowances Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Remuneration and Allowances Act 1973.

The Remuneration and Allowances Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:

Remuneration of officer appointed Director of the Museum of Australia

“20. (1) Where a person appointed to hold the office of Director of the Museum of Australia was, immediately before his appointment, an officer Of the Australian Public Service occupying the office of Secretary to the Department of Home Affairs and Environment, he shall be paid, during the period of his appointment (including any period of re-appointment) to the office of Director of the Museum of Australia, in lieu of the remuneration and annual allowance payable in respect of that office, remuneration and annual allowance at such respective rates as are applicable to the office of Secretary to the Department of Home Affairs and Environment.

“(2) Sub-regulation (1) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 February 1984.”.
