Remuneration and Allowances Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Remuneration and Allowances Act 1973.

The Remuneration and Allowances Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:

Remuneration of unattached Secretary appointed Chairman of the Superannuation Fund Investment Trust

“21. Where a person appointed to hold the office of the Chairman of the Superannuation Fund Investment Trust was, immediately before his appointment, an unattached Secretary within the meaning of the Public Service Act 1922 who had previously at any time occupied the office of the Director-General of Health, he shall be paid, during the period of his appointment (including any period of re-appointment) to the office of the Chairman of the Superannuation Fund Investment Trust, in lieu of the remuneration and annual allowance payable in respect of that office, remuneration and annual allowance at such respective rates as are applicable to the office of Director-General of Health.”.
