An Act to grant further Remission of Rent due, or to accrue duo from certain M;inerat Lessees o f the Crown in the Province

of South Australia.

[Assented to, 19th December, 1867.1

HEREAS, by an Act, No. 16 of 1866-7,

it is provided that it Preamble.

'Flpl should be lawful for the Governor in Executive Council to

remit payment of rent in respect of the leases enumerated in the

Schedules A, B, and C to the said Act, where such remission should be requested as in the said Act is mentioned, so that such remission should not exceed the amount of rent in such Act specified: And whereas remission of rent has been duly requested in respect of the leases enumerated in the First Schedule hereto, and such rent has been remitted by the Governor in Executive Council accordingly, as provided by the said Act: And whereas, it is expedient that a further remission of rent due, or to accrue due, in respect of. the said leases should be granted: And whereas it is also expedient that rent should also be remitted to the lessees of certain other mineral leases in respect of the leases enumerated in the Second Schedule hereto, which have heretofore proved unprofitable to the lessees %hereof-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor-in-Chief of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said Province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:
