I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Remand Centres Ordinance 1976
Short title
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Remand Centres (Amendment) Ordinance! 983.'
Temporary remand centres
2. Section 5 of the Remand Centres Ordinance 19762 is amended by omitting from sub-section (3) "or (2)," and substituting "or (2) or where the Minister is, for any other reason, satisfied that it is desirable to do so,".
