IT is notified for general information that His^ Excellency the Governor-General in Council has been pleased to approve of the undermentioned Kegula- tions under the Careless Use of Fire Ordinance 1916
(The Territory for the^ Seat of Government) :—(1) The owner of every steam-engine shall instal efficient spark arresters and sound ash pans to catch all sparks and ashes, and shall maintain the arresterB fend pans in good repair.
(2) No person in charge of any steam-engine shall leave his engine unless he has caused to be extinguished any live coals which may have dropped from the engine, and taken sufficient measures to prevent any live coals dropping from the engine after his departure.
Penalty. Twenty pounds.
