AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Registration of Deeds Ordinance 1957

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

REGISTRATION O F DEEDS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1977

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Registration of Deeds

(Amendment) Ordinance 1977.*

2 . In this Ordinance, " Principal Ordinance " means the Registration

of Deeds Ordinance 1957.f

3 . This Ordinance shall come into operation on 3 October 1977.

4. Section 4 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting

from sub-section (1) "Two dollars " and substituting " $ 1 0 " .

5. Section 6 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting

" , upon payment of a fee of Fifty cents,".

6. Section 7 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-section (1) " the prescribed fee " and substituting " a fee of $1 for every page included in the certified copy "; and

(b) by omitting sub-section ( 2 ) .
