Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages

Ordinance 1963

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths and

Marriages (Amendment) Ordinance (No. 2) 1982.1

(a) by omitting from sub-section (4) "$4" and substituting "$8"; and
(b)
by omitting from sub-section (7) "$3" and substituting "$5".

Principal Ordinance

2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Registration of

Births, Deaths and Marriages Ordinance 1963.2

Registration of change of name

3. Section 22 of the Principal Ordinance is amended by omitting from

sub-section (1) "$3" and substituting "$5".
Marriage in an overseas country of persons ordinarily resident in the

Territory

4. Section 56 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

Fifth Schedule

5.     The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by omitting "5" from the Third Column of Item 1 and substituting "8";

(b)

by omitting "3" from the Third Column of Item 2 and substituting "5"-

(c)

by omitting "3" from the Third Column of Item 3 and substituting "5"; and

(d)

by omitting "3" from the Third Column of Item 4 and substituting "5".
