lative Council and IjCgislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ;—

(2) The Registration of Births Deaths ami l\Iar- riages Act 1899, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths, and Marriages Act, 1899-1944.
2 . The Registration of Births, Deaths, and Marriages Amcnameot
Act, 1899-1934, is amended—
(a) (i) by inserting in section twelve next after the Soe. 12.
Avords “ certified copy of” the Avnrds “ or (Searciiee

(ii) by inserting at the end of paragraph (b) of

| No. 21, | (2) In any such case the Registrar- General shall give notice of the entry to the district registrar having the custody of the register in which the birth is registered and the district registrar shall endorse in the relative entry in the register a copy of the entry made by the Registrar-General. |
| (.*:!) The entry of a notice of the change of name shall he made in the margin of the register and every eertided copy of an entry containing a notice of change of name shall include the matter contained in that entry and the entry in the margin. | |
| (4) In the case of an entry containing a change of name in accordance with this section tlie Registrar-General may, in lieu of a certified copy of snch entry ami on ]myment of the fee prescribed nii<l(‘r tlie Conveyancing Acts, 1919- I94d, issue a eei’fidcate setting forth the name mentioned in the margin of the register and jiarticnlars as to the date of birth and birthplace and omitting all otlicr matter contained in such entry. |
