An Act to amend "The Registration of Births and

Deaths Act, 1874."

[Assented to, November zgth, 1904.1

E i t Enacted by the Governor of the State of South Australia,

follows:

B with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as

received by any Deputy-Registrar of Births and Deaths, District revenue.

1. From and after the passing of this Act, all fees levied and Fees to be paid into

Registrar, Assistant Registrar, or other person authorised under any Act relating to the levying, receiving, or collecting of fees for the registration of births and deaths, shall be forthwith forwarded by the persons so levying, receiving, or collecting to the Registrar- General of Births and Ileaths, at Adelaide, and shall be applied to the purposes of the General Revenue of the State: Provided, nevertheless, that when a Registrar is only an Assistant Registrar this section shall not apply to the fee of Two Shillings and Six Pence levied and received by him in connection with the late registration of a birth or a death, which last-mentioned fee shall be retained by such Assistant Registrar for his services in connection with such late registration.
