REGISTERED CLUBS (AMENDMENT) ACT 1993 NO. 29—

PROCLAMATION

NEW S O U T H WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Registered Clubs (Amendment) Act 1993, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 April 1994 as the day on which the uncommenced provisions of that Act commence, except:

(a)

somuch of item (11)ofSchedule l aswouldcommenceproposed sections 82A, 82B and 82C;

(b)

section 3 initsapplicationtothose proposed sectionsinitem(11) of Schedule 1.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Proclamation commences most of the uncommenced provisions of the Registered Clubs (Amendment) Act 1993. Other provisions of this Act were commenced on 1 October 1993 or 1 January 1994. The provisions commenced by this Proclamation are amendments to the Registered Clubs Act 1976 relating to the following:

1994—No. 102

(a) modification of poker machines;

(b) notification of the consignment or movement of poker machines;

(c) the periodic fee foragaming-related licence oraworkpermitandthe periodic returns to be lodged by the holder of a gaming-related licence;
(d) theattachmentofcomplianceplates to poker machines before theyare moved from the premises of a licensed poker machine dealer;
(e) notificationbytheholderofagaming-related licence ofchangesinthe state of affairs of the licensee;
(f) displayofidentification while servicing,repairingormaintainingapoker

machine in a registered club.

The only provisions of the Registered Clubs (Amendment) Act 1993 which remain uncommenced are proposed sections 82A-82C (to be inserted into the Registered Clubs Act 1976 by Schedule 1 (11)). These provisions relate to security and access to poker machines.
