Act No. 67,1983.
An Act to amend the Registered Clubs Act, 1976, with respect to the hours when liquor may be carried away from the premises of registered clubs and with respect to the removal of certain persons from any such premises. [Assented to, 4th May, 1983.]

Registered Clubs {Amendment).
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title.
This Act may be cited as the "Registered Clubs (Amendment) Act,
1983".
Amendment of Act No. 31, 1976.
The Registered Clubs Act, 1976, is amended in the manner set forth
in Schedule 1.

(Sec. 2.)
AMENDMENTS TO THE REGISTERED CLUBS ACT, 1976.
(1) Section 46 (5), (6 )—
After section 46 (4), insert:—
(5) The Licensing Court, on an application made to it, may, inrespect of any particular registered club, declare that in the applica-

(6) The Licensing Court, in the exercise of its power under sub- section (5) , shall not vary the hours specified in subsection (1) (a) in such a manner as to permit the carrying away or attempted carry- ing away of liquor from the premises of a registered club before 10 a.m. on a Sunday or for a period on any one Sunday in excess of 10 hours.

(2) Section 6 7 A — After section 67, insert:—
Removal of persons from premises of registered club.
67A. Where a member of the police force is requested by the
secretary or an employee of a registered club to turn out, or to assist
in turning out, of the premises of the club any person—
(a) who is then intoxicated, violent, quarrelsome or disorderly;
(b)
who, for the purposes of prostitution, engages or uses any part of the premises;
(c)
whose presence on the premises renders the club or the sec- retary of the club liable to a penalty under this Act; or
(d) who hawks, peddles or sells any goods on the premises,
it is the duty of the member of the police force to comply with the request and he may, for that purpose, enter the premises and use such reasonable degree of force as may be necessary.
