Act No. 69, 1981.

An Act to amend the Registered Clubs Act, 1976, with respect to the period used as a basis for the assessment of fees payable for the grant or renewal of a certificate of registration, [Assented to, 28th May, 1981.|

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.          This Act may be cited as the “Registered Clubs (Amendment) Act,

1981”.

Commencement.

2.      (1) This section and section 1 shall commence on the date of assent

to this Act.

(2) Except as provided in subsection (I), this Act shall commence

on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (3) of the Liquor (Amend­

ment) Act, 1981.

Amendment of Act No. 31, 1976.

3. The Registered Clubs Act, 1976, is amended in the manner set forth

in Schedule 1.

(1) (a) Section 9 (8)-

Omit “1st June next preceding the due date for the expiry of the certificate”, insert instead “the day prescribed for the ]uirpo.ses of this subsection”.

(b) Section 9 (8) (a) —

Omit “31st May next preceding the due date I'or the expiry of the certificate of registration”, insert instead “the day prescribed for the puqjoses of this paragraph”.

(2) (a) Section 15 (1) (b) (i) —

Omit “12 months ended on the thirty-first day of December next preceding”, insert instead “period prescribed for the pur­ poses of this subparagraph that last preceded”,

(b) Section 15 (5 )—

Omit “thirty-first day of May in each year”, insert instead “day prescribed for the purposes of this subsection”.

(c) Section 15 (5 )—■

Omit “year commencing on the first day of July then next ensu­ ing”, insert instead “period prescribed for the purposes of this subsection”.

(d) Section 15 (9) —

Omit “20th June”, insert instead “the day prescribed for the purposes of this subsection”,

(e) Section 15 (9) —

Omit “next preceding the date of expiry of its certificate of registration”.

(f) Section 15 (10) (a )—

Omit “30th November next following the due date”, insert instead “the day prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph”.

(g) Section 15 (10) (b) —

Omit “that 30th November” wherever occurring, insert instead

“the day so prescribed”.

(h) Section 15 (11) (a) —

Omit “30th November next following the due date”, insert instead “the day prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph”.

(i) Section 15 (11) (b) —

Omit “30th November next following the due date”, insert instead “the day prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph”.

(3) (a) Section 16 (1 )—■

Omit “thirtieth day of June next following the day of its issue”, insert instead “day prescribed for the purposes of this subsection”.

(b) Section 16 (2) (a), (b) —

Omit the paragraphs, insert instead: —

(a)	commencing on the day prescribed for the pur|Toses of this paragraph; and
(b)	ending on the day prescribed for the purposes of this paragraph.

(o) Section 16 (3) —

Omit “in any scar commencing on the first day of .Inly”, insert in.stead “during the period prescribed for the purposes of this subsection”.

(d) Section 16 (3) —

Omit “year" where secondK' occurring, insert instead “pei iod”.
