REGISTERED CLUBS ACT 1976 - REGULATION

(Relating to licensing inspectors)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive

Council, and in pursuance of the Registered Clubs Act 1976, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 1 August 1990.

Amendments

2. The Registered Clubs Regulation 1983 is amended:

(a)

by omitting from clause 8 (5) (b) the words "licensing inspector within whose area of supervision the premises to which the application relates are, or will be, located'' and by inserting instead the words "Commissioner of Police";

(b) by omitting clauses 24 and 25.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Registered Clubs Regulation 1983 to replace a reference to a licensing inspector with a reference to the Commissioner of Police and to remove provisions relating to licensing inspectors, as a consequence of the enactment of the Registered Clubs (Amendment) Act 1990 which confers functions on the Commissioner of Police rather than licensing inspectors.
