An Act to amend the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993.
[Assented to 18 September 2001]
The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:
1. Short title
| This Act may be cited as the Regional Development Commissions Amendment Act 2001. |

2. Commencement
| This Act comes into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. |
3. The Act amended
| The amendments in this Act are to the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993*. |

4. Section 3 amended
| (1) | Section 3 is amended by inserting before “In” the subsection designation “(1)”. |
| (2) | At the end of section 3 the following subsections are inserted — |
“
| (2) | In this Act, subject to subsection (3) — |
| “Minister” means the Minister to whom the |
administration of this Act is for the time being
committed by the Governor.
| (3) | In Parts 3 and 5 and Schedule 2 — |
| “Minister”, in relation to a commission, means the |
Minister to whom the administration of that
commission is for the time being committed by the
Governor.
”.
5. Section 32 amended
| (1) | Section 32 is amended by inserting before “The” the subsection designation “(1)”. |

| (2) | At the end of section 32 the following subsection is inserted — |
“
| (2) | The provisions mentioned in subsection (1) apply in respect of a commission and its operations as if the term “Minister” used in those provisions had the meaning given by section 3(3) of this Act. |
”.
