WH E R E A S i t is desirable to amend t h e " Redhead Ra i lway A c t of 1 8 8 3 " by ex tend ing the t ime wi th in which the

rai lway in t h e said A c t men t ioned is to be const ructed and b r o u g h t

in to use. Be i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l l en t Majes ty , by and wi th t h e advice and consent of t he Legis la t ive Council and Legislat ive Assembly of New South W a l e s in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and b y t h e au thor i ty of t he same, as follows ( tha t is to s a y ) : —

1. I t shall be lawful for t he said " Redhead Coal-mining Com­ p a n y (L imi t ed ) " in t h e said Ac t ment ioned, to cons t ruc t and b r ing into use wi th in a period of five years from the expira t ion of t he t e r m of five years by t he said Act , l imited, t h e rai lway thereby authorized to be constructed and b r o u g h t in to use.

2. The lands vested by the said A c t in the said Company, and all

t h e said Company ' s in teres t and estate there in , shall, no twi th s t and ing
t h a t t h e said ra i lway has no t been const ructed and b r o u g h t into use

w i th in t he period in t h e said A c t l imited, become and cont inue to be vested in t he said Company , subject to t he provisions of the said Act : Provided t h a t t he said ra i lway shall be const ructed and b r o u g h t into use wi th in t h e period of five years from the pass ing of th is Act , and t h a t in defaul t thereof, or if after its complet ion t he said ra i lway shall cease to be used cont inuous ly for th ree years, t h e said lands, and all t h e said Company ' s in teres t and estate there in , shall revert , wi thou t any conveyance, to t h e original owners thereof, the i r heirs and assigns.

3. This A c t m a y for all purposes be cited as the " Redhead

Coal-mine Ra i lway A c t Ex tens ion Ac t of 1888 . "
