s1 2 s6 Recreation Areas Management Amendment Regulation No. 202, 2007 (No. 1) 2007 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Recreation Areas Management Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2007 . 2 Commencement This regulation commences on 24 August 2007. 3 Regulation amended This regulation amends the RecreationAreasManagementRegulation 1989. 4 Replacement of pt 3, hdg (Permits) Part 3, heading— omit, insert— ‘Part 3 Permits, approvals and other authorities ‘Division 1 Permits’. 5 Amendment of s 9 (Application of part) (1) Section 9, heading, ‘part’— omit, insert— ‘ div 1 ’. (2) Section 9(1), ‘part’— omit, insert— ‘division’. 6 Insertion of new pt 3, div 2 After section 22— insert—

s6 3 s6 Recreation Areas Management Amendment Regulation No. 202, 2007 (No. 1) 2007 ‘Division 2 Approvals and other authorities ‘22A Expiry of particular vehicle approvals and exemption authorities ‘(1) This section applies to a vehicle approval or vehicle exemption authority in force immediately before the commencement of this section if— (a) the approval or authority does not specify a day on which the approval or authority expires; or (b) the board has given the holder of the approval or authority written notice that— (i) states the approval or authority remains in force; and (ii) does not specify a day on which the approval or authority expires. ‘(2) The vehicle approval or vehicle exemption authority expires 12 months after the commencement of this section. ‘(3) In this section— vehicle approval means written approval of the board for a person to enter or traverse a recreation area in a vehicle. vehicle exemption authority means a certificate of exemption, exemption authority, exemption label, approval or an authority, however called— (a) issued or granted under the Act, or taken, under repealed section 68 of the Act, to have been issued or granted under the Act; and (b) under which a person is exempted from a requirement under the Act to have a permit or written approval for entering or traversing a recreation area in a vehicle.’.
