1. These regulations may be cited as the
Real Property Act (Certification of Instruments)
2. These regulations shall take effect from 26 April 1984.
3. The following classes of instruments are prescribed under subsection (2) of section 273 of
the Act:
Applications for amalgamation of land;
Applications to dispense with the production of duplicate instruments;
Applications for division of land;
Applications for the issue of a summons by the Registrar General;
Applications for new certificates of title;
Applications to withdraw an instrument from registration;
Applications to withdraw plans of survey;
Applications to withdraw a Registrar-General’s caveat;
Applications to the Registrar-General by the Minister of Lands under the
Crown Lands Act,
1929 , or any other statutes;Applications to resume and vest land pursuant to section 64 and to withdraw land pursuant to section 64(4) of the
Harbors Act, 1936 ;Applications to register agreements under section 61 of the
Planning Act, 1982 ;Applications to rectify certificates of title by consent pursuant to Section 223j of the
Real
Property Act, 1886 ;Applications pursuant to section 20b of the
Roads (Opening and Closing) Act, 1932 ;Certificates issued pursuant to section 66b of the
Crown Lands Act, 1929 ;Certificates of Alteration issued pursuant to section 269 of the
Crown Lands Act, 1929 ;Certificates issued pursuant to section 20a of the
Roads (Opening and Closing) Act, 1932 ;Informal documents issued pursuant to Section 247 of the
Real Property Act, 1886 ;Notices of Acquisition under the
Land Acquisition Act, 1969 ;Notices of Intention to acquire under the
Land Acquisition Act, 1969 ;Notifications of declaration by councils of public streets pursuant to the
Local Government
Act, 1934 ;Registrar-General’s caveats.
