Real Estate and Business Agents (General) Amendment Regulations 2024

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These regulations are the Real Estate and Business Agents (General) Amendment Regulations 2024.

2.Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

• (a)

  regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the regulations — on 2 September 2024.

3.Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Real Estate and Business Agents (General) Regulations 1979.

4.Regulation 6 amended

• (1)

  In regulation 6(1)(ca) delete “CPP51122; or” and insert:

   

CPP51122, together with any additional examinations prescribed for the applicant under subregulation (2); or

• (2)

  In regulation 6(2) after “(1)(c)” insert:

5.Regulation 17 inserted

After regulation 16 insert:

17. Transitional regulation for Real Estate and Business Agents (General) Amendment Regulations 2024

An amendment made to regulation 6 by the Real Estate and Business Agents (General) Amendment Regulations 2024 does not apply for the purposes of Schedule 1 clause 1(a) of the Act to an application for a licence made, but not decided by the Commissioner, before 2 September 2024.
