Real Estate and Business Agents (General)
Amendment Regulations 2015
Made by the Governor in Executive Council.
1. Citation
These regulations are the Real Estate and Business Agents
(General) Amendment Regulations 2015.2. Commencement
These regulations come into operation as follows —
(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day. 3. Regulations amended
These regulations amend the Real Estate and Business Agents
(General) Regulations 1979.

4. Regulation 6 amended
(1) Delete regulation 6(1) and insert:
(1) The prescribed examinations for the purposes of
Schedule 1 clause 1(a) to the Act are —(a) the examinations required by the Curtin
University of Technology to be passed for the conferral of any of the following degrees —
Bachelor of Commerce (Property and
Marketing);
Bachelor of Commerce (Property);
Bachelor of Commerce (Property and
Finance);
Bachelor of Commerce (Property

(v) Bachelor of Commerce (Property
Valuation);(vi) Master of Property;
(vii) Graduate Diploma in Property;
or
(b) the examinations required by a registered
training provider to be passed for the conferral
of a Diploma of Property Services (AgencyManagement) CPP50307.
(2) After regulation 6(2) insert:
(3) In respect of a person who applies for a licence on or
before 31 December 2018, the prescribed examinations examinations conducted by a registered training provider in all of the following courses —
for the purposes of Schedule 1 clause 1(a) to the Act
also include the examinations required by a registeredtraining provider to be passed for the conferral of a
(a) Unit 15826 — Rural Sales; (b) Unit 15825 — Selling Businesses; (c) Unit 15892 — Real Estate Law.
(4) For the purposes of this regulation, a reference to the
examinations required to be passed for the conferral of
a particular qualification is a reference to the
examinations that are or were required to be passed for
the conferral of that qualification at any time when thatqualification is or was conferred.
