Re Southern Equities Corporation Ltd (in liq); Bond & Caboche v England

This appeal was brought by Alan Bond and Dolores Caboche against the liquidator of Southern Equities Corporation Limited, who had applied for examination summonses under section 596B of the Corporations Law. The appeal was dismissed by the Full Court. The Full Court held that the appellants were not entitled to access to the affidavit material filed by the liquidator in support of the application for their examination. The Full Court also held that there was effective service of the examination summonses on Alan Bond.
