RATES AND CHARGES (REBATES AND DEFERMENTS)

AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 1994

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1.     These regulations may be cited as the Rates and Charges (Rebates and

Deferments) Amendment Regulations 1994.

Commencement

2.      These regulations come into operation on 1 July 1994.

Principal regulations

3.     In these regulations the Rates and Charges (Rebates and Deferments)

Regulations 1992* are referred to as the principal regulations.

Regulation 3 amended

4.     Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting

paragraphs (a) and (b) and substituting the following —

(a) where the charge relates to the provision of a service during a rating year commencing after 30 June 1993 but not after 30 June 1994 —
(i) in the case of a charge for water supply $54.35;
(ii) in the case of a charge for sewerage $88.00;
(iii) in the case of a charge for drainage $9.80;

and

(Rebates and Deferments) Act 1992, the Mature Age Allowance (the "MAA") and the Mature Age Partner Allowance (the "MPA"),

(b)

where the charge relates to the provision of a service during a rating year commencing after 30 June 1994 but not after 30 June 1995 —

(i) in the case of a charge for water supply $55.70;
(ii) in the case of a charge for sewerage $90.20;
(iii) in the case of a charge for drainage $10.05. ),

Regulation 4 added

5. After regulation 3 of the principal regulations the following regulation is

added —

"MAA" and "MPA" prescribed under section 23 (1)

4.     Under section 23 (1) (aa) (v) of the Rates and Charges

given under the Social Security Act 1991 of the Commonwealth, are prescribed for the purposes of section 23 of the Rates and Charges (Rebates and Deferments) Act 1992.
