Rates (Amendment) Ordinance 1981

An Ordinance to amend the Rates Ordinance 1926

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Rates (Amendment) Ordinance

1981. 1

Principal Ordinance

2. In this Ordinance, "Principal Ordinance" means the Rates Ordinance

1926. 2

Repeal

3. Section 27 of the Principal Ordinance is repealed.

Evidence

4. Section 35 of the Principal Ordinance is amended—

(a) by inserting in sub-section (1) "any one or more of the following matters" after "certify";

(b ) by omitting from paragraph (1) (c) "and" (last occurring); and
(c) by inserting after paragraph (1) (c) the following paragraph:

" (ca) that the amount of rates specified in the certificate is pay­ able in respect of a parcel of rateable land by the person named in the certificate and that, on the date of the certificate, that amount or a specified portion of that
