AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Rates Ordinance 1926-1938.

Seat of Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the BE it ordained by the Governor-General in and over the Com-monwealth of Australia, with the advice of the Federal
Government (Administration) Act 1910-1947, as follows:—

1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Bates Ordinance short title

1 9 ^ 0 * and citation.

(2.) The Bates Ordinance 1926-1938, as amended by this

Ordinance, may be cited as the Bales Ordinance 1926-1950.

2. Section eleven of the Bates Ordinance 1926-1938 is repealed

' and the following section inserted in its stead:—

ceding section, the Minister has declared a part of the Territory sanltaryfratc. " 1 1 . Where, in pursuance of sub-section (3.) of the last pre-Annual charge

to be subject to the sanitary rate, he may, in lien of making a sanitary rate, make an annual charge for sanitary services, against the owner of each house situated in that part, for each pan in respect of which sanitary services are supplied.".
