An Act to amend the " Randwick and Coogee Roads Transfer Act of 1869" by authorizing the removal of the Randwick Toll-gate. [26th May, 1876.]

WH E R E A S unde r and by v i r tue of t h e provisions of an A c t t he Governor a n d Pa r l i amen t of N e w South Wales passed in

t h e th i r ty-second year	of t h e	Re ign of H e r p resen t Majesty	Queen
Victoi'ia and n u m b e r e d	n ine a cer ta in road ex tending	about	one

h u n d r e d and th i r ty-seven chains from Botany-s t reet in t h e City of

Sydney t h r o u g h the Sydney Common and W a t e r Reserve to t he ga te a t t h e en t rance to t he Randwick Racecourse has been duly t ransferred to t h e Munic ipa l Council of Sydney and t h a t por t ion of t h e said road ex tend ing about one h u n d r e d and seventv-seven chains from the said Racecourse ga te to t he waters of Coogee Bay has been duly transferred to t he Munic ipa l Council of Randwick as by law provided A n d whereas i t is desirable to remove the Toll-gate now in existence upon t h e said road a n d erect t he same upon ano ther pa r t of t he said road Be i t therefore enacted by the Queen ' s Most Exce l len t Majesty by and wi th t h e advice and consent of t h e Legislat ive Council a n d Legislat ive Assembly of N e w South Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled and by t h e au thor i ty of the same :—

1. I t shall be lawful for t he Mun ic ipa l Council of Sydney and

t h e Munic ipa l Counci l of R a n d w i c k to remove t h e Toll-gate now

s tand ing and being on the R a n d w i c k R o a d a n d to establ ish a Toll-bar

and collect tolls a t t he site of t h e j unc t ion of t he B u n n a r o n g or Defence

R o a d wi th the R a n d w i c k R o a d Provided t h a t one-eighth of the revenue received for such tolls shall be handed OA'er to Trustees to be appointed by t h e Governmen t and to be expended upon the B u n n a r o n g or Defence Road .

2. This A c t shall be styled and cited as t he " R a n d w i c k Toll-

ga te R e m o v a l A c t . "
