An Act to enable the Police or Resident Magistrate of a District to issue a Certificate for a License to the Keeper of a Railway Refreshment Room in the District of such Police or Resident Magistrate at any time between any two Quarterly Licensing Meetings.

[Assented to 7th April, 1881.

HEREAS certain provision is made by the 87th Section of Preamble

WRefreshment Rooms by the Licensing Magistrates for the districtThe Railways Act, 1878' for the licensing of Railway

within which such Refreshment Room is situate ; And whereas it may become necessary, for the convenience of the public, to issue a license for a Railway Refreshment Room at a time when the said Licensing Magistrates are not in session ; And whereas it is expedient to vest in the Police or Resident Magistrate, as the case may be, the powers at present vested in such Licensing Magistrates in respect of such licenses : Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows :—

1. It shall be lawful for the Police or Resident Magistrate of any Pollee or Reel-

2. The short title of this Act shall be The Railway Refreshment short title

Room Licensing Act, 1881.'
