AN ACT to authorise the Discontinuance of
the Port Hedland-Marble Bar Railway.
[Assented to 18th December, 1950.]
BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

This Act may be cited as the Railway (Port Hedland-Marble Bar) Discontinuance Act, 1950.

(1) The line of railway as authorised by and constructed under the Port Hedland-Marble Bar Railway Act, 1907 (Act No. 5 of 1907) and as more particularly described in the Schedule to this Act, shall, on the commencement of this Act, cease to be operated until the Governor otherwise declares, and the material thereof may be used in the con- struction or maintenance of any other authorised railway or may be sold, disposed of or otherwise dealt with as the Minister for Railways may deter- mine.

(2) The cost of the said line of railway as charged to the Government Railways Capital Account may be omitted from the accounts prepared under Part IV of the Government Railways Act, 1904-1948.
SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF LINE OF RAILWAY.
Commencing at a point at the shore end of the Port Hedland Jetty and proceeding thence generally in a South- Easterly direction for about 90 miles, thence in a generally Southerly direction for about 241 miles and terminating at a point on the Southern boundary of the Marble Bar Station Yard. Total length 114 miles 32 chains.
